The UK Chapter seal is a visual statement of who we are. The ring carries the words “The UK Chapter for IES” and “IES National” — marking our place within the global Interscholastic Ethics Society and our national identity.
At the centre, the Union Jack anchors us in the United Kingdom. The two doves meeting over a heart symbolise the peace, dialogue, and compassion that ethical leadership seeks to build. The stars on either side remind us that every member is called to be a light in their own community.
Together, the seal reflects a single idea: UK students, united by ethics, extending their influence across the world.
From classroom discussion to national forum, our work is anchored by four commitments.
Promoting moral reasoning, thoughtful dialogue, and principled decision-making across schools.
Expanding opportunities beyond the classroom through mentorship, research, and open inquiry.
Preparing students to become responsible leaders in their communities and the wider world.
Serving local and global communities through civic action and lasting partnerships.
Every number below is a combined total across our chapters in Korea, the United Kingdom, and the United States — one society, three countries, one shared standard.
